Move with the verse
Do these actions while you say each part. Moving helps us remember!
“I can do”Point to yourself, then make strong arms like a superhero.
“all things”Spread your arms out wide, as wide as you can.
“through Christ”Point up to heaven with both hands.
“who strengthens me”Hug yourself tight. Jesus makes you strong!
“Philippians 4:13”Clap 4 times, then hold up 1 finger and 3 fingers.
Grown-ups: try this at home
Make the verse part of your day
- Say it at breakfast. One verse, said together each morning, sticks better than a long lesson once a week.
- Let them catch you saying it. Children learn what they see us do. When something feels hard, say it out loud: “I can do all things through Christ.”
- Praise the trying, not the remembering. A star for every try keeps little ones keen, even on the days they forget a word.
